Merry Poses

For this task, we were asked to create 5 different poses with this 3D character, Mery. For my first pose, I decided to do a Ballet Pose. This consisted of one leg raised up and resting on the other with both arms up above the head.

For the second pose, I wanted to have the character sat on the floor in a very casual position, with one arm on the box and the other resting on her leg.

The third position, I wanted to do something similar to the last, so I decided to place Mery sat on top on the box. I made her lean slightly to the right of the screen so that she could have her arm resting on the box.

In the next set of poses, I wanted to focus on facial expresses to see how this can really effect the body language and meaning of a pose. A strong pose which needs facial expressions is scared. I decided to lower the jaw and bring in the cheek bones slightly while widening her eyes and raising the eyebrows.

For the last set of poses, I wanted to follow along the idea of facial expressions and body language with the emotion of scared but this time, acting like the one who is scaring. For this pose, I angled the eyebrows different so that the dipped near the middle of the face and raised near the ears. I also arched the characters back and positioned the arms and hands to almost reach out at something. The last part that I changed was the right leg. I wanted to raise this to act like the character is moving forwards towards something.
